Darlene Young Wins A $150 Spree At Times Super Market

MW-winner-043015-DarleneYoungTimesBeretania-1Darlene Young looked at the Times Super Market ad in MidWeek last week, and saw some things on sale that she wanted. So on Thursday she took a trip to the Beretania Street location. As she made her purchase at 3 p.m., MidWeek‘s representative approached Darlene with a simple question. She answered correctly and instantly won a $150 Times Super Market spree.

“I like shopping at Times because the service is very nice,” said this week’s Mystery Shopper, a retired state employee. “Also, the produce is very fresh.”

Darlene, who is a graduate of McKinley High School and University of Hawaii, has three grown daughters and five grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, tai chi and playing mah jong. She also likes to read MidWeek.

“I read everything, from cover to cover,” she said. “I always read Ron Nagasawa’s column first. I also like Pamela Young and Jerry Coffee, and for years, I always looked at the Mystery Shopper and never thought it’d be me one day.”
