Cub Scouts Can Wrap It All Up For Shoppers

Cub Scout Pack 229 stands ready to do its next good deed for Christmas, now that the boys have completed their march in the Kaneohe parade.

The Kapunahala-based Bear Den, led by Christine Tumilowicz, will be wrapping gifts for free from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. this Saturday and Dec. 21 at Windward Mall (behind the escalators in the Macy’s wing).

“The pack wrapped more than 1,200 presents in just two days last year,” said Tumilowicz, “and they hope to wrap even more gifts this year.”

All wrapping paper was donated by the Windward City and Kaneohe Bay Longs Drugs stores. Several mall shops are providing incentives for Cub Scouts who wrap for a two-hour shift, including Glow Putt, 808 Bounce, Soul Trex, Hot Dog on a Stick, Cookie Corner, Wetzel’s Pretzels and Little People Hawaii.
