Crepe Shop’s New Space Is ‘No Ka Oi’

Since opening in 2008, popular Kailua restaurant Crepes No Ka Oi has had one big problem: It’s so popular that it doesn’t have enough room for everyone who wants to dine there. So it’s solved that by recently moving to a new location at 143 Hekili St. — just down the road from its original shop.

“It’s so much bigger!” stated Kakay Tarvyd, who owns the restaurant with husband Chris. “There’s a mezzanine upstairs that can accommodate large groups and can be rented for private parties. We have a large outdoor seating area, and the space inside is roomier.”

In addition to the new space, Crepes No Ka Oi also has rolled out a few new menu items, including Chicken Curry Salad — comprised of chicken, apples, grapes, onions, curry powder and chives — and Plantation Pulled Pork, which features onions, spinach, cilantro and fresh pineapple with simmered pork.

Soon, the restaurant will begin serving wine, Champagne, beer and mimosas.

Crepes No Ka Oi is open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays, Wednesday and Thursdays; 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays; and 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sundays. It is closed Tuesdays. For more information, call 263-4088 or visit crepesnokaoi.com.
