Prepare to laugh at some comedic British imports this month in Chaminade University Performing Arts’ productions of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) and Hay Fever.

This massively condensed retelling of the Bard’s works, directed by Bro. Gary Morris, will offer a whirlwind of Titus Andronicus the cooking show, Othello the rap song and Shakespeare’s histories presented as a football game, among other impersonations, puns and clean-cut ribaldry.

Show times are 7:30 p.m. Nov. 6, 7, 8 and 10, and 3 p.m. Nov. 9.

Noel Coward’s Hay Fever, about a family of actors and artists who unintentionally terrorize their hapless house-guests with over-the-top theatrics, will play at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 13, 14, 15 and 17, and 3 p.m. Nov. 16. The production is directed by Fr. Robert Bouffier.

All shows will be staged in Chaminade’s Loo Theatre, with $5 general admission. The theatre is located in Clarence T.C. Ching Hall 101 at 3140 Waialae Ave.
