Business Leaders on the Move in Hawaii – 2/5/14

Michelle Cabalse has been hired as a public involvement coordinator of Kiewit Building Group Inc. In her new role, she is responsible for helping the company plan and execute diverse community-outreach and community-building programs and initiatives. She most recently was a communications specialist at the University of Hawaii’s school of architecture, and before that she was a marketing coordinator with T&C Surf Designs. Cabalse has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from University of Hawaii.

Ricky Ching has been appointed senior vice president and chief financial officer for Hawaii National Bank. He now will oversee finance, accounting, business analytics, and property management and security. Ching joined Hawaii National Bank in 2006, most recently working to execute the bank’s financial plan as vice president and controller. Ching previously served as manager of finance and business affairs at University Clinical, Education & Research Associates and as a senior associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Christopher Radovich has been appointed director of IT operations and service management for Hawaiian Airlines. He now is responsible for driving incident-, problem- and change-management processes to ensure stability of IT infrastructure. He previously held various IT and operations management and supervisory positions at First Insurance Company of Hawaii and the state Department of Education.

John Sutton has been appointed director of finance for Hawaii Symphony Orchestra. He now is responsible for managing the orchestra’s finances, budgeting, reporting, government compliance and human resources. Sutton previously worked as a chief financial officer at Atlas Sales Company in Kapolei, and executive vice president and chief financial officer at Starr Siegle Communications. He also is the former president of Elyte Pacific ATM Services.

Vicki Walden has been hired as a payroll specialist for Hawaiian Host. In her new role, Walden will be responsible for the time and payroll functions, including the preparation of reports and data to be provided to accounting and other external sources.
