Big Bird To Visit Imaginarium

The newest stars at Hokulani Imaginarium aren’t from outer space.

Sesame Street’s Big Bird and Elmo headline a brand-new show at the planetarium called “One World, One Sky: Big Bird’s Adventure.”

Debuting at 7 p.m Aug. 8, the keiki-oriented production features Big Bird, Elmo and Chinese friend Hu Hu Zhu as they learn about everything in space — from identifying the Big Dipper to the differences between Earth and the Moon — with much singing along the way.

The original show premiered in 2008 as a joint effort between the U.S. and China. Hokulani Imaginarium’s presentation at Windward Community College is sponsored by the Iris and Rodney Fukui family via the planetarium’s Adopt-A-Show program.

Admission is $5 for children under 12, and $7 for adults. To reserve seats or for more information, call 235-7433.
