ARA Fest Features Food, Crafts

American Renaissance Academy hosts its Fall Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, featuring games, bouncers, a water slide and an obstacle course.

Community groups also will have activities and informational booths. Providing a jump start on the holiday shopping season, the festival will include a craft fair and a shop with vintage and gently used items.

Food booths include steak and shrimp plates, shave ice, smoothies, pizza and more. ARA’s School of Performing Arts FAME will provide live entertainment, along with Miss Kapolei Teen Hawaii USA, culinary celebrity Chef Roc, Desi McKenzie and Hawaii Youth Chorus and world-renowned juggler Greg Gabaylo.

The ARA campus will be open for student-led tours from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in 45-minute intervals.

ARA still is seeking vendors; those interested can apply online at arahawaii.org.

Proceeds from the festival benefit schoolwide activities.
