“Akakura House is a store where you can find not only shoes, but many other hidden treasures,” says Kia Tatiana, store manager. “Once you enter our store, you find out very quickly that there is something inside for everyone, from shoes to made-in-Hawaii products.

“Also, we are always looking for new and upcoming designers for our Made in Hawaii area, so if you have a product you would like to introduce to us, please stop by. We’d love to hear from you!”

The store now offers hula and Hawaiian language lessons Monday through Friday. The first class is free, and membership includes a 10 percent discount off products in the store.

With a minimum purchase of $50, customers can park in the neighboring Bank of Hawaii parking lot and have their ticket validated. For more information, call 922-5980 or visit akakurahouse.us.
