Paul Brown Salon Salutes Military From New Kailua Location

A well-known Kailua salon relocated earlier this month to a space that has free, convenient parking.

Paul Brown Salons & Spas moved July 2 into a 1,474-square-foot space at Kailua Town Center next to Whole Foods, after a decade on Maluniu Avenue. The phone number, 230-2000, remains unchanged.

“We’ve been in Kailua for 10 years now, and we’ve built a very strong and loyal client base,” said master stylist Paul Brown, who operates six Hawaii salons, including three on Oahu.

“We’re beyond thrilled over our new location, which will allow us to better serve our Windward Oahu clients in an extremely convenient location.”

Paul Brown Hawaii also recently partnered with the Wounded Warrior Project, in order to honor its caregivers. So far, the company has donated 500 Operation Mahalo Kits (full of beauty products) to them.

Brown said he and his staff always are honored to encourage those “who give so much of themselves on a daily basis.

“Sometimes,” he added, “it’s the little things – like a new hairstyle or tube of lipstick – that can truly make a difference in the way someone feels.”

Brown’s company also participates in Operation Mahalo to support and salute military members and their families. The program rewards deserving candidates with a weekend of pampering and luxury at a Waikiki hotel, including dinner for two, a two-night stay and full makeover.

In fact, Navy wife Missy Odom enjoyed a full makeover at the new Kailua salon July 22 as an Armed Services YMCA July recipient – and the first from the Windward side. Odom, who lives in Kailua, was honored for her resiliency through many family struggles while her husband was deployed.

“We’re very close to our men and women in the military,” Brown added, “and are extremely grateful for their service … Operation Mahalo is just one small way we’re able to say thank you.”
