Music Fest To Rock LCC Saturday

The fourth annual Leeward Music Festival returns Saturday at Leeward Community College, beginning at 6:45 p.m.

Sponsored by Kapolei Chorale, this year’s event features ukulele recording artist Kalei Gamiao, the Highlands Intermediate School Chorus, pianist Tyler Ramos, taiko drummers from Pacific Buddhist Academy, vocalists Romy Collado and Christopher Patlingrao, dancers from Dance

Appeal Studio, the Pearl City Elementary School Chorus and Oahu Civic Orchestra.

The Kapolei Chorale also will perform. The festival was created by Doris Sadako Dudley of Kapolei Chorale as a way to showcase talent from the Leeward area, while promoting the arts.

“This festival is a spectacular celebration of all kinds of music,” former Leeward Community College music professor Marilyn Liu Kim stated.
