Thrills, Chills At Heeia Fair Friday

An early Halloween party is in store for Windward residents at Heeia Elementary School’s Fun Fair from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday.

The festivities include live entertainment, an auction and raffle, games booths and prizes, inflatable jumpers, slides and obstacle courses, along with a haunted house, costume parades and contests, and an abundance of baked goods and other foods.

On stage will be Natalie Ai Kamauu and Iolani Kamauu, Kama’aina Kids and Tamatoa; and Heeia’s Brown Bags 2012 winner Saoirse Ryhn.

Scrips (50 cents each) are needed to purchase food and drinks or play games and rides. A sheet of 40 scrip costs $20 at the fair. Wristbands, which allow unlimited access to rides and jumpers, also cost $20.

Children can look forward to these new thrills: Rat Race Obstacle Course, Xtreme Slide, Pirates Revenge and Lil’ Swings. Food options include beef stew, chili, roast pork and shoyu chicken plates for $5, with musubi, teri burgers and malasadas selling for $1 to $3.
