Science Fair Entries From 30 Schools

For a half hour on Friday, the public can peek into the minds of children and teenagers at the Windward District Science & Engineering Fair.

Coordinated by area vice principals, the 29th annual fair has the best projects from 30 schools at Windward Community College’s Hale Akoakoa. Display and research work will be on view that day from 3 to 3:30 p.m. for the public. The Feb. 14 awards ceremony is private.

District winners will compete at the 58th state science fair March 23-24 at Hawaii Convention Center. For more information, call Eliza Kaka at 293-8980.

Organizers of the fair liked what Albert Einstein once said: “If we knew what it was we were doing, it would not be called research, would it?”
