West Oahu residents can look forward to fashion-foward company Forever 21, which will open its doors at the 1.4-million-square-foot regional mall Ka Makana Ali’i.

DeBartolo Development announced Oct. 29 that the popular fashion retailer will follow anchor stores Macy’s and H&M.

“Forever 21 has been hugely successful in Hawaii, and the selection of Ka Makana Ali’i as the location for its next island location is a testament to the strength of the West Oahu retail market,” stated DeBartolo Development president and COO Edward Kobel. “As Ka Makana Ali’i becomes the shopping, dining and entertainment destination for West Oahu, Forever 21 will provide an exciting option for on-trend fashion at a great value in the heart of Hawaii’s fastest growing region.”

The single-level store will spread over 12,000 square feet and will carry men’s, women’s and children’s fashion, as well as swim wear, cosmetics, footwear and accessories.

Ka Makana Ali’i is scheduled to break ground later this year, and the first phase of the shopping center is expected to open in 2016.

Upon its completion, the mall will house more than 150 shopping, dining and entertainment offerings, two hotels and LEED-certified office space.
