Nearly 500 Rental Lofts Planned On 17 Acres In Kapolei

Gov. David Ige joined political and business leaders, as well as members of Forest City Hawaii, Jan. 16 for a blessing ceremony to officially introduce Kapolei Lofts to the community.

The project will produce 499 rental homes on 17 acres of land, and is expected to open to renters this fall.

“We’re building brand-new homes at Kapolei Lofts exclusively for renters that will offer first-rate amenities in a beautiful community setting,” stated Jon Wallenstrom, president of Forest City Hawaii.

The rental community is located at the corner of Kapolei Parkway and Wakea Street, and across from Foodland and other food and retail establishments.

“Kapolei Lofts will be convenient for shopping, dining and spending time with the family,” explained Wallenstrom. “The community will be designed with amenities typically found only in our most exclusive communities.”

Some of these amenities include central air conditioning in each home, as well as granite countertops, energy-efficient appliances and photovoltaic systems. Kapolei Lofts also will feature a community center that will offer a resort-style swimming pool, exercise facility, cyber cafe, and rooms for meetings, special events and private parties.

Forest City Hawaii will begin to accept applications for pre-leasing this summer.
