For the last 36 years, Masako Formals has been dressing brides, grooms and many others for their special occasion.
Originally located in the Ala Moana Building, the locally owned formal wear store moved to its current location at 716 Cooke St. about 12 years ago, and carries wedding gowns, tuxedos, and bridesmaid, flower girl, mother-of-the-bride or -groom, and prom dresses. Some of the brands you’ll find are Casablanca, Allure Romance, Alyne, Sophia Tolli and Pattis.
“The trend for wedding gowns right now is vintage looks,” says sales associate Pauline Yoshizawa. “However, strapless gowns are still really popular.”
