Lions Host Annual Vet Day Parade

The Wahiawa Lions are once again honoring Hawaii’s veterans Nov. 11 with their annual Veterans Day Parade.

The much-anticipated event, now in its 67th year, includes more than marching units.

A joint service color guard and the Royal Hawaiian Band will lead marchers up California Avenue at 10 a.m. from Kaala Elementary School to Wahiawa District Park.

Ceremonies at the park follow the parade and include guest speakers, a flyover by World War II aircraft, and massing of the colors. Also planned are keiki rides and bouncers, food, a craft fair, cultural displays, community booths and military equipment displays.

Activities at the park continue until 1 p.m.
