The Lanikai Mortgage Players are back to entertain fans with their spring offering, Nelson Shreve’s The Silverado Kid, or Never Fake It in a Gunfight.

The play opens May 17, playing at 8 p.m. May 17-19 and 24-26 at Shreve Theater in Lanikai Park.

Produced by Roger Tansley and directed by Brenda Hillebrenner, the action-packed Western stars Courtney Nichols, Diane Craven, Keith Merriam and Bill McRoberts, backed by assorted ranchers, farmers, bar characters, con artists and the Mysterious Silver-ado Kid himself, George Spelvin.

The classic struggle between good and evil will unfold at the Grand Hotel in Gopher, Wyoming.

An olio (variety show) will follow the play, directed by Fred Barnett.

Tickets cost $7 and include free popcorn. Proceeds fund the upkeep of Lanikai Park. For reservations, call 262-5482.
