JTB Unveils Electric-Powered Bus Fleet

JTB Hawai‘i and its subsidiary, Travel Plaza Transportation, introduced Hawai‘i’s first electric-powered commercial bus fleet earlier this year. Three full-size buses were unveiled at a blessing ceremony at the Travel Plaza Transportation Bus Facility in Honolulu, and each bus features a colorful design inspired by Hawai‘i children through Blue Planet Foundation’s Driving Forward art challenge program. Pictured are Henk Rogers of Blue Planet Foundation and Mayor Kirk Caldwell with several of the children whose artwork on sustainability is displayed on the exterior of buses.

AdSharkz Wins Ad Up Hawai‘i Contest

Team AdSharkz was the winning team at the fifth annual Ad Up Hawai‘i marketing competition, helping its nonpro~ t partner Hawai‘i Bone Marrow Donor Registry win a grand prize of $5,000 cash (donated by Hawaiian Electric) and more than $91,000 in donated media and production services.
