Hawaii Business Leaders on the Move

Alice Loo has been welcomed back to the health care team of Kuakini Health System as manager of clinical risk management. Loo joined the Kuakini Health Care team in July 2008 as a clinical nurse specialist in the education service department, leaving in 2011 for an opportunity with a transplant services project. She now will oversee clinical risk management activities as well as the patient relations program.
Roz Burton-Torres has joined Junior Achievement of Hawaii as president. Burton-Torres is an accomplished business manager with more than 20 years of sales and management experience. Since 2002, she has been involved with Junior Achievement as a teacher and fundraiser, helping to open a Junior Achievement office in the Caribbean in 2010-2011. Prior, she was principal for various businesses in technology, real estate and retail industries.
Steven Gray has joined the law firm of Ashford & Wriston. Gray focuses his practice in the areas of Intellectual Property, Business, Labor and Employment Law and Real

Property. Gray is a registered patent attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the Hawaii State Bar Association and the American Bar

Association. During law school, Gray was a member of the nation’s first Internation Transactions Clinic, providing pro bono services for socially responsible investors in emerging markets.

Kelly Joseph has been appointed director of marketing and development for Waikiki Health Center. Joseph will oversee functions of corporate, foundation and individual giving; marketing and public relations; and media and donor engagement. She previously served as senior business development director for the American Heart Association, Hawaii division.
