Go Green Recycling Drive At Kapolei High

The Go Green Club at Kapolei High School welcomes recyclable materials from the public at its recycling drive from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in the high school parking lot.

The Go Green drive accepts computers and printers, TV sets (one per car), all kinds of scrap metal, appliances, HI-5 containers, cooking oil, cell phones, ink cartridges, phone books, newspapers, cardboard, magazines, plastic bags, Boogie boards, playground equipment, helmets, batteries, propane tanks, fire extinguishers, eyeglasses, hearing aides, white socks (for Afghanistan), prom dresses, business suits, pet food, towels, blankets and toys. There also will be a light bulb exchange – free CFLs for incandescent bulbs.

Proceeds go to Malama Learning Center, and Goodwill and Lions clubs will make use of any donated clothing, household items, hearing aids and eyeglasses.
