Festival Urges Community To Help Preserve Local Farmlands
Save Oahu Farmlands Alliance hosted its Farm Festival Feb. 25 at Kaka’ako Waterfront Park. The group is comprised of various organizations, individuals and farmers.
The event featured fresh produce, various artists and live entertainment and was designed to raise awareness about the potential loss of farmland throughout the island because of proposed developments, including Ho’opili, located between Kapolei and Ewa, as well as Koa Ridge in Central Oahu.
