December Run For DHT’s ‘Annie’ Show

Daddy Warbucks, the father any orphan would dream of having, will be at Diamond Head Theatre Dec. 7-30, scooping spunky little redheaded Annie out of the clutches of the orphanage matron whom you love to hate, the evil Miss Hannigan.

In the title role of Annie, Riley Newton, a member of the theater’s Shooting Star program, will belt out charming classics such as Tomorrow and Hard Knock Life.

The theater already extended the popular show’s playdates weeks before the Dec. 7 opening. The curtain goes up on the Broadway musical Annie at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, 4 p.m. Sunday, and 3 p.m. Saturdays (Dec. 15, 22 and 29). Tickets cost $15. For reservations, call 733-0274 or visit diamondheadtheatre.com.
