Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii

Shannon MiyazakiShannon Miyazaki has been named administrator for The Plaza at Moanalua, an assisted living community. Miyazaki will oversee the operations of each department and supervision of the management staff. Miyazaki joined The Plaza at its Punchbowl facility as activity director in 2008. She also serves as secretary for the Hawaii Pacific Gerontological Society board of directors and is an appointed member of the Honolulu Committee on Aging.
Brian MooreBrian Moore has joined Graham Builders, a design and build company, as business development manager. Moore will be tasked with developing new business opportunities and strategies with the goal of increasing sales. Previously, Moore served as a primary relationship officer in the corporate banking division at Bank of Hawaii. Before that, he spent 26 years at Honsador Lumber LLC as treasurer and construction bond manager, where he developed and managed a statewide residential construction bond program that is now accepted by all Hawaii lenders.
Debra TangonanDebra Tangonan has been promoted by Central Pacific Bank to the position of vice president and Kaneohe branch manager. Tangonan has been with Central Pacific Bank since 1976. Her experience has led to many leadership roles, such as assistant branch manager, commercial branch manager and branch manager. In her new position, Tangonan is responsible for leading, coaching and inspiring her team to consistently meet and exceed the specific needs of CPB’s customers.
Emily D. SchmitzEmily D. Schmitz has joined the law firm of Starn O’Toole Marcus & Fisher. Schmitz begins as a litigation associate and will concentrate her practice in the area of commercial litigation. Schmitz earned her law degree from University of Pennsylvania Law School.
