Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii

Levi HookanoLevi Hookano is the Hawaii State Bar Association’s new program director. Hookano will lead the association’s Continuing Legal Education programs as well as its annual events including Bar Convention, which gathers more than 400 legal professionals for a full day of seminars, panel discussions and a featured keynote address. Hookano is a former legal specialist for the Office of the County Clerk for the County of Hawaii and most recently director of Career Development and Alumni Relations for the William S. Richardson School of Law.
R. Brian TsujimuraR. Brian Tsujimura has been elected by the members of the East-West Center’s Board of Governors as its chairman. A Honolulu attorney and land developer, Tsujimura has worked in government as a deputy attorney general, as assistant general counsel for AMFAC, and as president of AMFAC Property Development Corp. He serves on the boards of The Queen’s Health Systems and is the U.S. chairman for Global Hope Network International, an international nonprofit based in Geneva, Switzerland.
Leanne Ka‘iulani FerrerLeanne Ka’iulani Ferrer has been promoted to program director of Pacific Islanders in Communications (PIC), a nonprofit organization that supports and develops media content and talent to promote a deeper understanding of Pacific Island culture. Ferrer is currently producing the PIC series Pacific Heartbeat that will air nationally this spring on PBS. Ferrer also was the post production supervisor for PIC’s executive production, One Voice, which will air nationally May 11 on PBS.
Christine CaguioaChristine Caguioa has been promoted to director of nursing by Hi’olani Care Center at Kahala Nui. Caguioa brings more than 18 years of nursing experience to her new position, where she will oversee operations of the Comprehensive Nursing Department.
