Bishop Breakfast Has Its Celebrity ‘Flippers’

Tickets are on sale now for St. John Vianney School’s fifth annual Breakfast with the Bishop, set for this Sunday in the parish hall.

The popular public event features a buffet, which will be served by SJV teachers and parents as the Most Rev. Larry Silva greets all guests alongside Father Tom Gross and principal Caryn DeMello. Silva also will speak on the value of a Catholic education and the special role of parish schools. The SJV hula halau, choirs, bands and orchestra will entertain the crowd.

Celebrity pancake flippers and buffet-line servers will include KITV and Mid-Week‘s Pamela Young, KSSK’s Sweetie Pacarro, Vicar General Rev. Gary Secor, Miss Hawaii 2015 Stephanie Steuri, City Councilman Ikaika Anderson, Aaron Mahi, Mihana Souza, Glenn Medeiros, Kailua Target store manager Drew Santos and more.

The feast will be served at 8 a.m., 10 a.m. and noon, after each service. Tickets cost $20 and $12, and are available after Mass and in the school office until Jan. 23. Proceeds go to tuition assistance and facility improvements. To check on ticket availability, call 261-4651.
