At Walgreens, our purpose is to champion everyone’s right to be happy and healthy, and we’re thrilled to bring that to life with Hawaii’s first Walgreens flagship at 1488 Kapiolani Blvd., which opened Feb. 21.
We’ve been in the community since 2007, and this is our 12th store on Oahu. At this location, there are approximately 120 employees to assist customers as they’re shopping with us near the popular Ala Moana district.
This flagship features an extensive collection of innovative offerings, products and services unexpected from a drugstore.
The culturally inspired design reflects elements of traditional Hawaiian architecture and embraces components of the natural landscape. It incorporates influences from a local descendants design team to ensure the building captured their ancestors’ environment and spirit of their culture.
The store features Upmarket Café, which offers juices, smoothies and a milk-shake bar; daily hand-rolled sushi, poke and sashimi; high-quality, on-the-go meal options; and premium coffee beverages and baked goods. Customers also can enjoy self-serve frozen yogurt.
There also is a wide selection of souvenirs, apparel and local offerings displayed throughout the store. The LOOK Boutique beauty department offers an expanded selection of skin care, hair care and cosmetics, including products from Boots No7.
The pharmacist is made accessible to provide more counseling and services to patients, fostering pharmacist-patient relationships. The pharmacy features an Express Rx pickup kiosk to allow customers to quickly pick up and pay for their refill prescriptions, and a private health room for counseling and services, including immunizations and health tests.
Pharmacy hours are 7 a.m.-10 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m.-7 p.m. weekends.
The store is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
