The production runs through Halloween on Monday, Oct. 31.
This year, there’s a new VIP option that provides front-of-line access, a chance to watch from a viewing platform as others get scared and an opportu- nity to operate a gag.
“We love that we have friends and families who do the haunt together and enjoy making haunt mem- ories together,” he adds. “Our haunt actors come from all over O‘ahu and bond with each other. Fre- quently they stay after tell- ing tales to each other of the best scare reaction they got out of a customer that night.”
The attention to detail and professional-level set design, costumes, props, lighting and acting make Skeleton Key a standout.
Also new is the Chick- en Skin(less) option — a 15-minute guided walk- through with no scares, available on weekends. Attendees can explore the haunt before it opens and learn behind-the-scenes in- formation about the props and costumed characters.
About 35 actors were cast for Terror Planet earli- er this year, and once KOA Theater wrapped produc- tion on its final show of the season, crews knocked down the walls and build- up of Skeleton Key began from scratch.
