“Exploring such an import- ant topic with grace, compas- sion and even lighthearted moments, this play is truly meant to be shared with the community,” states manag- ing director of Kumu Kahua Theatre Donna Blanchard. “We all have been touched in one way or another by some of the experiences that Oki explores in his work. To have a chance to come together in a supportive and expressive environment, and with the help of such inspiring part- ners, is incredibly moving.”
Local band ESD: Every Single Day is also playing a part in the community spir- it around Who You Again?. Music from their album has been granted to be included in the play at no cost to pro- duction, and the band will perform live at 1:30 p.m. in front of the theater just before two Sunday matinee perfor- mances on April 3 and April 24. Guests may also purchase a glass of wine.
Directed by Denny Hirona- ga, Who You Again? features a local cast including Kaipo Dudoit, Ron Encarnacion, Karen Kuioka Hironaga, Kati Kuroda and Ben Walsh.
