s part of the city’s intersection im- provement program, Hawaiian Elec- tric will be relocating utility poles,
overhead lines and related electrical equip- ment near the intersection of Kailua Road and South Kalāheo Avenue, between Ku‘ulei Road and Kailua Beach Park, starting Tues- day, Jan. 18 through Friday, Jan. 21.
The project will require a single lane clo- sure near the work sites, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
On Monday, Jan. 24, road closures will be in both directions of Kailua Road and South Kalāheo Avenue, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with only local traffic allowed.
After the triangle intersection near Ka- lapawai Market, there will be no access to Kailua Beach and Lanikai during the work hours.
Safety signs, workers and special duty police will provide onsite traffic control. Hawaiian Electric asks the public to plan ahead for traffic delays or use alternate routes. For more information, visit hawai- ianelectric.com.
