Castle High Robotics Team Takes Top Spot

roject management, problem solving and collaboration. Those are all import- ant skills that employers look for when
adding to their teams. Those are also three traits, in addition to engineering know-how, that helped lead Castle High School to victory at the 2021 International SeaPerch Challenge earlier this month.
The team, named The ProtoKnights — comprised of Jack Saito, co-team lead, 3D designer, 11th grade; Christian Iha, co- team lead, 3D designer, 11th grade; Ryden Matsuda, engineering technical report lead, builder, 11th grade; Tyler Yamashige, electrical lead, builder, 11th grade; Reilly Miyade, driver, builder, electrical, 11th grade; Jordan Lane, documentation lead, backup driver, 11th grade; Colby Cum- mins, driver, builder electrical, 11th grade; and Tyler Masumoto, support lead, 10th grade — worked on their project for weeks leading up to the Hawai‘i SeaPerch Region- al that took place on March 31 at the Coast Guard Honolulu base.
