Throughout the morning, a steady stream of people come in — residents, employees on a break and members of the public alike — make pur- chases, donate a few items and chat with Wilkinson, Katz and the other staff on- hand to help keep things moving smoothly. Whenever the space reaches capacity, customers spend their short wait on seating arranged just outside the entrance.
And, why “The Attic,” if it’s located on the ground floor? “It used to be on the 14th floor,” Camero explains.

“Carolyn has a good eye, she knows what would fit in the shop,” Camero adds, noting that when things don’t sell, Wilkinson will donate items to charity.
