after the retirement of Kathy Raethel. Fol- lowing a year of serving the community through a pandemic, Ashlock now looks to the future.
“The transition has been going very well,” he says. “Adventist Health Castle has a very supportive team of mission-driven individu- als who are passionate about delivering out- standing care to our community, and they’ve welcomed me to my new role with open arms. I am honored to lead such a high-per- forming organization and am grateful to Kathy Raethel for all that she contributed to Castle as president for the past 11 years.”
Ashlock points out that the hospital had to pivot and tackle the challenges brought on by the pandemic.
“Elective procedures were temporarily put on hold and visits to our emergency depart- ment declined as people stayed home,” he states. “But we were able to quickly adapt
