West O‘ahu keiki can participate in Mayor Rick Blangiardi’s Memorial Day Poster Contest hosted by the City & County of Hono- lulu’s Department of Parks and Recreation. The theme is “Sew a Lei for Memori- al Day” and artwork should illustrate lei-making or lei-giving activities. Posters must be 8 1/2-by-11 inches and can be done on paper or digitally, but digital submis- sions may not be computer enhanced. The contest runs through Feb. 27. Memorial Day is May 29.
