Waipahu High Student Named President At Phi Theta Kappa

“I want to explore the world, too. Being able to lead in Phi Theta Kappa made me realize there’s so much more than just in this small island. This organization showed me that the world is so much bigger. My ultimate goal is to have an international busi- ness that’s Christ-centered,” says Ancheta, who attends Inspire Church faithfully ev- ery week and serves in the youth ministry.
Last year, Keziah Christie Ancheta was chosen out of thousands of candidates to become the youngest co-in- ternational president and Pacific region president of Phi Theta Kappa. The inter- national college honor soci- ety provides students with academic recognition, lead- ership and professional skill development, scholarships and more.
“Being able to serve my class and school is what got me here today as a leader,” she says. “Being in wres- tling, cheerleading and pad- dling also helped me get out of my comfort zone and made me believe that I can do anything if I work hard enough at it.”

As a proud student of Waipahu High School, An- cheta is graduating this spring and she’s prepared for her next steps. She became involved with the school’s early college program and its high school chapter in the Phi Theta Kappa orga- nization. She also joined the
