ith a little help from the city De- partment of Information Technol- ogy, the city Department of Parks
and Recreation launched a new online sys- tem so that residents can now conveniently register for free and paid activities that take place at city and county parks and botanical gardens.
By using a smartphone or computer, West O‘ahu residents can check out what’s hap- pening at neighborhood spots like Geiger Community Park, Kapolei Regional Park and Waikele Community Park.
An array of classes are on the docket for fall, all of which primarily begin the week following Labor Day weekend. Topics in- clude archery, basketball, book/magazine clubs, arts and crafts, exercise, dancing (hula, ballet, etc.), dodgeball, gymnastics, swim- ming lessons, surfing and paddle boarding, and tai chi.
Walk-in registration is also available to provide equitable opportunities for those without computer/internet access.
