ttention all bookworms: Hawai‘i State Public Library System invites West O‘ahu residents to join its vir-
tual Winter Reading Challenge, which con- cludes Jan. 31. This year’s theme is “Read for a Better World.”
Participants will have unlimited access to e-book titles through Lerner Publishing, a sponsor of the program.
“The Winter Reading Challenge is the perfect opportunity to read books that ex- pand our minds and our hearts,” states Sta- cey Aldrich, who serves as state librarian for HSPLS. “We encourage everyone to join us for this year’s Winter Reading Challenge.”
Those who are interesting in signing up can do so by visiting librarieshawaii.bean- stack.org or by using the Beanstack app on a mobile device. There, readers can log their minutes as well as participate in activities and challenges, which enters them in a lucky drawing for gift cards to local businesses.
For more information or to find out what else HSPLS has coming up, visit librariesha- waii.org.
