o‘eau Designers is not only a one- stop shop for Hawai‘i-inspired clothes, jewelry and accessories
— it’s become a platform for promoting and supporting local makers and designers. Located at Ka Makana Ali‘i for nearly five years, the store started out as a small Hawai- ian-owned shop near center court and grew so rapidly that it needed to be upgraded into a bigger space.
“Now, we have a beautiful, big showroom stocked full of great locally designed, locally made products from all around the islands,” says owner Vaalele Torres.
At the store, Torres carefully curates and selects products that catch her eye.
“Hawaiʻi has so much local talent, we wanted a store rooted in our Hawaiian cul- ture, and we have been fortunate to partner with great local makers and designers over the years,” says Torres.
Currently, Noʻeau features more than 140 local artists.
