Have you ever met some- one who is an inspiration to many? Well, we have one of those awesome inspira- tional people living right here in ‘Ewa and his name is Pete!
Whenever I see Pete on my walks, I always share with Pete that he inspires me to enjoy my walks and just keep on going. Pete also reminds me to remem- ber that self-care is import- ant for the mind, body, spir- it and soul.
Everyone in ‘Ewa sees Pete walking in the morn- ing and in the early evening hours. He can be seen in his brown shorts and black top with cab hat gear on every day.
So, if you are driving up or down Fort Weaver Road in ‘Ewa and you spot my friend Pete, give him a friendly honk or a friendly shaka, as he truly continues to inspire many of us to just keep walking and enjoy the healthy journey.
RAVEN
Fourteen-month-old Raven lives out his youthful days in Waikele. He loves running around and meeting new friends at the recently opened off-leash dog park at Patsy T. Mink Central O‘ahu Regional Park.
As an avid walker myself, I befriended Pete on my walking path and he shared with me that he walks sev- en miles in the morning and 5 miles in the evening, all while smiling every step of the way — simply amazing and super inspirational.
