Artificial Surf Attraction To Open Mid-2022 In ‘Ewa Beach
The world’s largest hu- man-made deep-water stand- ing surf wave is coming to ‘Ewa Beach next year.
     “It’s incredible to see the vision turning into reality,” states California-born surfer Shane Beschen, who is col- laborating on the develop- ment of Wai Kai Wave. “This is going to be such a fun ven- ue for so many people. The Wai Kai Wave will be amaz- ing for surfers of all skill sets and will allow us to do really fun events year-round.”

  Wai Kai Wave has been touted to be similar to Waimea Bay but “bigger, better and every day of the year,” ac- cording to Beschen. It will be 100 feet wide and has the ability to create waves that are 4 to 6 feet high.
