Par Hawai‘i Collects Funds For SO Athletes
THE FUTURE OF HEALTH CARE IS HERE
West O‘ahu residents can help the state’s Special Olympics athletes by doing something quite convenient.
For the 16th year, Par Hawai‘i hosts its Fueling Dreams cam- paign, during which the community can make cash donations in-store at local nomnom stores May 1-July 31 when filling up gas — or any time, actually.
“We are honored to partner with such an amazing organi- zation like Special Olympics Hawaiʻi,” states Eric Lee, Par Hawai‘i’s vice president – retail. “Over the past five decades, Special Olympics Hawai‘i has touched countless individuals, transforming the lives of athletes with intellectual disabilities and how we as a community engage with them.”
Since starting Fueling Dreams all those years ago, Par Ha- wai‘i, which markets Hele and 76 Hawai‘i gas stations, has raised nearly $900,000 for the nonprofit, its athletes and pro- grams.
WEST OAHU MEDICAL OFFICE AT KAPOLEI NOW OPEN
“Par Hawai‘i has consistently shown their support and com- mitment — especially during the pandemic — and play an integral role in our work to help fuel the dreams of athletes with intellectual disabilities as well as drive awareness for our programs,” states Dan Epstein, Special Olympics Hawai‘i’s president and CEO.
We’re bringing more services, convenience, and high-quality
care to West Oahu’s growing community.
Monies raised from Fueling Dreams will fund programs and online training (during the pandemic) for the thousands of local athletes with intellectual disabilities who call Hawai‘i home. In addition, donations will help the organization purchase nec- essary supplies, like PPE for athletes and coaches, so sports activities can resume safely.
