Seth Rogan and Rose Byrne, who co-starred in 2014’s Neighbors, are back together in Apple TV’s comedy Platonic. They play former best friends who re-connect mid-life after a long time apart. Also cast in the 10-episode series are Luke Macfarlane, Tre Hale, Andrew Lopez and this actress
who also had a role in Neighbors — but may be better known for playing intern Daisy Wick in the TV series Bones.
Jeremy Allen White returns as a fifine-dining chef who’s tasked to run his family’s sandwich shop in The Bear. Following much acclaim, including a Golden Globe for White, the Hulu series is back June 22. The original cast is set to reprise their roles and will be joined by this 27-year-old comedy actress (Good Boys, You People), who’s the daughter of director/screenwriter Jessie Nelson (I Am Sam, Waitress).
Jesse Garcia plays Richard Montañez in Flamin’ Hot, which releases on Hulu and Disney+ next month. The film is a true-life tale about Montañez, a Mexican American janitor, who claims to have invented the Flamin’ Hot Cheetos snack. Tony Shalhoub, Annie Gonzalez, Dennis Haysbert and Emilio Rivera also star in the spicy movie. Flamin’ Hot is directed by this
actress who is best known for her role as Gabrielle Solis in TV series Desperate Housewives.
Booksmart released four years ago this week. On the day before their high school graduation, best friends and academic overachievers Molly (Beanie Feldstein) and Amy (Kaitlyn Dever) come to the realization that they missed out on integral moments of their teenage years. They decide to go on a mission to make up for the lost time. The director of the film was Olivia Wilde, who also directed this suspenseful 2022 movie based on a 1950s housewife.
