Filmmaker Pawel Pawlikowski’s next feature, The Island (working title), is set to shoot next year. The thriller, which stars Rooney Mara, features an American couple who escapes to a deserted island, but are soon met with a countess who plans to take over and build a luxury hotel. Starring alongside Mara is this actor who won an Academy Award for his
leading role in 2019’s Joker.

The animated film follows two pals who work at a factory that generates energy from little kids’ screams. Everything changes when they meet — and learn to love — a human child called Boo. This day is all about loving the hair color you were born with. After all, it’s the rarest in the world, with only 1%-2% percent of the population having the fortune to rock the red.
