Carson Schultz joins Mid-Pacific Institute as director of planning and design. He will help develop a campus master plan, and oversee design and construction of new facilities and major renovations. Schultz was previously director of planning and development at Hawai‘i Community Development Authority.
Johanna Tokunaga is director of operations at outsourcing accounting firm Accumulus. She has 35 years of experience in the banking industry — 19 years in Hawai‘i and 16 years in California. She is the alumni ambassador for University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa’s Shidler College of Business.
Keonaona Salis has been named operations manager for Castle Vacation Rentals Hawai‘i. He will coordinate housekeeping, maintenance and repairs. Salis has worked for more than a decade in the guest services, sales and hotel management industries. He previously worked at Hampton Inn & Suites, Kualoa Ranch and Elite, and was the City & County of Honolulu’s 2020 Lei Day king and aloha ambassador.

Gail Vannatta is secondary school principal at Island Pacific Academy. She has 30-plus years of experience as an educator and previously worked at Kamehameha Schools Kapālama and at Damien Memorial School. She was also past president and executive director of the Hawai‘i Association of Middle Schools.
Kyle Saiki has joined G70 as a senior architectural technician. He brings to the position nearly a decade of experience in the field and is also an associate member of the American Institute of Architects. He was previously a senior architectural technician with Omizu Architecture.
Nasatassja Guzek is regional account director — government/military for Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikīkī Beach Resort, DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Alana-Waikīkī Beach and Hilton Waikoloa Village. Guzek has worked for more than 16 years in the hospitality industry. She was most recently the senior sales manager at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Alana- Waikīkī Beach.
