The Canvas Expands For Annual Craftsman Show

   “This partnership show- cases our members to a new audience and strengthens our statewide commitment to all the artists of Hawai‘i,” says Christopher Edwards. “I am pleased that for the first time ever, the neighbor islands have more artwork and artists in the exhibition than Oʻahu. Passing this milestone is truly signifi- cant for us.”

In choosing pieces for the show, Bangerter explains, “I go with my first impression, craftsmanship, and level of innovation in an idea. I tell art- ists to give the juried statewide calls with awards their most in- novative and resonating work. That is what a juror wants and looks for.”
