Speaking of smiles, we re- cently caught a show at South Point Casino that had us grin- ning from ear to ear. Fourever Fab and Sixtiesmania enter- tained the crowd during two sold-out performances. If Fourever Fab sounds familiar, it’s because the band (consist- ing of members Andrew Hill, Joe Manrique, Matt Fenicchia and Steve Smith) performed for over three years at the Sheraton Waikīkī and a the- ater in Maui. They even were the entertainers for Honolulu Star-Advertiser’s Hawai‘i’s Best celebration back in 2014.

Strip casinos like Bally’s and Paris aren’t the only ones getting a makeover. Some Downtown casino properties have also announced plans for renovations. Fremont Hotel and Casino, which has been in the process of renovating rooms, shared that it will be undergoing a $50 million upgrade. The Plaza will also begin construction to create a patio dining area in the beau- tiful Oscar’s Steakhouse. It’s scheduled to open in the fall.

no longer live in the Hawaiian Islands, Hill has now made the Ninth Island his home. Growing up in Australia, he started in the music industry at 18. Today, Hill and the
band perform in not one, but two bands! Fourever Fab, a Beatles tribute band, and Six- tiesmania, which highlights all the hits of the ’60s.
