Emma Christopherson has been appointed associate at Goodsill Anderson Quinn & Stifel. She is concentrating her practice in the areas of commercial litigation, bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, and premises liability. Christopherson graduated summa cum laude from Willamette University College of Law in Oregon. During law school, she was editor on Willamette Law Review.
Geary Chun has been promoted to executive vice president of consulting services for Pacxa. In his new role, he will handle key enterprise customers and technology partners. Chun brings more than 25 years of technical experience and extensive IT consulting knowledge. Previously, he held management positions at Commercial Data Systems, Oracle Corp. and KPMG Peat Marwick.
Cyd Okino is head golf professional for Pearl Country Club. She will lead all golf operations for the public course. Previously, she served as a PGA apprentice assistant golf professional. Okino is one of Hawai‘i’s youngest golfers to play in the U.S. Women’s Open (2008) at age 14. She played collegiate golf at University of Washington, earning Pac-12 All- Academic Honorable Mention her senior year.

Patrick McCain is deputy director for administration for Hawai‘i Department of Transportation. He was most recently an immigration services officer with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and served on the Downtown-Chinatown Neighborhood Board, Ala Moana-Kaka‘ako Neighborhood Board and the Visitor Aloha Society of Hawai‘i. McCain will fill the position vacated by Lynn Araki-Regan last August.
Stephanie Tatakoth has been promoted to senior associate at HHF Planners. She has 16 years of accounting experience and has served as HHF’s accounting manager since 2014. Tatakoth leads the company forward with software transitions, streamlining accounting procedures, and most recently, adapting accounting practices for the firm’s transition to working from home.
Aedward Los Banos is deputy director of the Department of Community Services for City & County of Honolulu. Los Banos previously was associate vice president for administrations for University of Hawai‘i, and prior to that was executive director for the Hawai‘i Community Development Authority, where he was responsible for the oversight and implementation of HCDA board policy and legislative mandates.
