Jennifer Moran has been named 2021 National Magnet Nurse of the Year Awardee for Exemplary Professional Practice by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Moran is the stroke program coordinator with Neuroscience Institute at The Queen’s Medical Center. She continuously works to improve the care of the hospital’s stroke patients as the lead advanced practice registered nurse.
Stavros Demos has been promoted to senior vice president and director of enterprise risk management at Central Pacific Bank. He is responsible for the leadership, innovation, governance and administration of the company’s enterprise risk management framework. Demos previously served as senior vice president and quantitative risk management manager.
Elisia Flores has been appointed to the board of directors of Hawaiian Electric Industries Inc. She is CEO and vice chair of L&L Franchise Inc. Flores also serves on the board of directors for American Savings Bank and Hawai‘i Pacific Health. She is a graduate of University of California, Los Angeles and University of Southern California.

Benjamin Buckley is the new assistant general manager at The Laylow, Autograph Collection in Waikīkī. In this position, Buckley will supervise room operations and the hotel’s upscale ambiance. He previously served as general manager of Hideout, the hotel’s signature restaurant, and brings 10 years of hospitality and restaurant management experience to his new role.
Amy Ejercito is chief administrative officer at ‘Ōlelo Community Media. She is in charge of human resources, financial services and fund development. Ejercito was formerly the in-house labor and employment attorney and has over three decades of experience as in-house counsel, strategic planning, human resources, labor and employee relations and customer service.
Tom Park has been appointed director of Kāhala Sportswear. He will oversee all aspects from creative design to sales, guiding the brand’s evolution. Park has more than two decades of experience in the Hawai‘i apparel industry. He is the founder and owner of Leather Soul, a luxury men’s footwear retailer, established in 2004.
