Hong Phan has been promoted to chief executive officer of DataHouse Consulting Inc. She previously served as the company’s co-president. In her new role, Phan will seek to establish strategic global and national partnerships that will enable DataHouse to continue competing for work in Hawai‘i and the mainland.
Hector Morales has been named executive chef of Hawai‘i Convention Center. Prior to working at the venue, he was employed at Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, Polynesian Cultural Center and Turtle Bay Resort. Morales is a graduate of the Johnson & Wales University Culinary Arts program. He brings 25 years of culinary leadership experience to the job.
Amber Yonamine is an associate at Damon Key Leong Kupchak Hastert. She will be involved in the firm’s business and commercial, real estate, and wills, trusts and estates practice groups. Yonamine earned her law degree from Willamette University College of Law, where she graduated cum laude and served as vice president of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association.

Dean Calibraro has been promoted to chief marketing officer at Fly Shuttle & Tours. The company’s former vice president of sales and marketing will focus his attention on branding and growth strategies as well as product development, advertising, pricing and customer experience. Calibraro has worked for more than 20 years in sales, marketing and management.
Suzanne Puanani Vares-Lum is president of The East-West Center. She is the first woman and Native Hawaiian to lead the organization. Vares-Lum served in the U.S. Army for 34 years, during which she advised the most senior officials at the U.S. Indo- Pacific Command. She is a graduate of University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa and U.S. Army War College.
Drew Monahan has been promoted to senior vice president and retail planning division manager at First Hawaiian Bank. He is responsible for developing FHB’s retail banking network strategy, including sales generation, training programs, customer experience and branch transformation. Monahan started at the bank as a marketing intern in 2009. He was honored as a Pacific Century Fellow in 2019.
