Nikki Fukada is contracts and compliance manager at Aloha United Way. In her new role, Fukada is responsible for managing, reviewing and negotiating contracts while ensuring organizational compliance for the nonprofit. Previously, Fukada reported to the general counsel at a medical device company in California.
Brandon Large has been promoted to associate of WATG. In his new position, Large will continue to focus on project design while helping to achieve firm-wide strategic business goals. He has been with the company since 2013 and will continue his work as project designer.
Nina Horioka has been named fund development director at Parents And Children Together. She will be responsible for building, developing and implementing the nonprofit’s major gifts and donor strategies. She previously served as community engagement manager for EPIC ‘Ohana and director of development for University of Hawai‘i Foundation.

T. Ilihia Gionson is public affairs officer with Hawai‘i Tourism Authority. He brings to the position more than a decade of experience in developing and executing strategies for government agencies, businesses and nonprofits. Most recently, he was the founder and principal of Hiehie Communications. He has also served as Hawai‘i communications director for former U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard.
Jamie Madriaga is counsel attorney at Porter McGuire Kiakona LLP, and will focus on litigation. Madriaga earned her J.D. from Case Western Reserve University, where she graduated cum laude and received the School of Law Leadership Award and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Award for work in diversity and inclusion. She is a member of the Hawai‘i State Bar Association as well as Hawai‘i Filipino Lawyers.
Dean Duque has been promoted to senior vice president and branch banking division manager at First Hawaiian Bank. He works with branch leaders to execute initiatives that focus on deepening client relationships through financial advice and innovative digital tools. Duque is also responsible for increasing awareness of the bank’s brand and retail products through the branch network.
