5. Re-fold the top of the milk carton and glue closed
to secure. Wrap the cardstock for the sides of the house around the bottom of the carton, aligning the openings for the win- dows and door. Glue to the carton.
7. Fold the 2 1/2-by-5-inch cardstock for the roof in half to find the center. Align the cen-
ter on top of the milk carton closure. Glue cardstock down to the angled sides of the carton. This is the basic roof. You can add strips of cardstock to the roof or a few tiles here and there to add interest.

Cut small pieces of
vellum/plastic slight- ly larger than the windows.
Glue to the inside of the house over the window openings. Cut thin strips of cardstock to glue around the windows and door as trim on the outside of the house. Cut a small circle and glue to the outside of the door for the door handle.
8.Decorate the house as you like. Cut apart picks and glue to the house. Stamp and color images to add
onto the house. Place a battery-operated tea light candle inside to light the house up. To use as an ornament, glue a ribbon hanger to the top of the roof or add a clip at the bot- tom of the house and clip to the tree branch.
